Thanks Christchurch

Last month I flew down to Christchurch to shoot a short film for the The Outlook for Someday competition. It was a huge week with lots to do and lots to film. I met some really awesome people who shared my love for filmmaking and helped make filming this project a success. We were able to use the resources of CPIT Film and Television school which meant we had a studio and lighting gear to use. The filmmaking process was very intense as we had around 15 different set ups to film in 3 nights which were very demanding on lighting as it was all shot at night. This meant lots of time was spent setting up the shot and not much time left to film the scene so we had to execute it quickly. We filmed the whole short using two Canon 550d. We’ve still got all the editing, animation, music and sound mixing left to do for the film so we’ve got a busy month ahead of us. Here’s a behind the scenes look into the making of the film, a big thanks to Jarred who shot it all:
