Port Waikato

Final location for the Hyundai Longboard Tour 2010

We’ve now finished the tour and the DVD for the Hyundai Longboard Tour 2010 is getting ready to be published and seen! It’s been an epic 3 months going to some of the best surf spots in NZ. I’ve had a wicked time, met some really cool people and learnt heaps!

Port Waikato was epic! The final day was the 27th March, my Birthday! The prize giving and party for the closing of the tour was amazing with the Feelers playing! I had a great time and can’t wait till the DVD comes out! Check out the vid from the weekend:

Whangamata

Capturing the beauty of Whangamata

As soon as we arrived in Whangamata on the Friday we unpacked and headed for the sea, the water was beautiful and glassy and the waves were pumping. The next day was full on with us having to capture all the surfing, dolly, car and people shots. After finishing for the day we headed out for another surf and then went to the Whanga bar to have a couple beers and catch up with everyone! Arriving back at 3.30am and having to get up at 7am we were living on adrenalin for the rest of the day. We made it through and still had enough energy to have another surf afterwards before crashing for an early night. I had a great weekend and got to know some really cool people that I’ll never forget! Looking forward to Port Waikato (26th-27th March), Peace!

Dunedin

Living the dream in Dunedin

After landing in Christchurch early morning, Trin picked me up and we drove down to Dunedin where we met Jason (www.basketproductions.co.nz) and spent the weekend filming the Hyundai Long Boarding Tour! It was such a fun weekend and an amazing opportunity to take some cool snaps.  The people there were awesome and the sunrises and sunsets were incredible! I had so much fun and can’t wait to get back. Feel free to check out the vid from the weekend:
