Airborne

New Zealand extreme sports legend Chuck Berry has been working on building a high altitude microlight in his garage for the last three years. He’s finally brought his dream to reality and finished the plane with amazing results. The team at Red Bull have been working hard on making a documentary of his journey in bringing the craft to life. Below is an excerpt from the the doco. It was really nice to see that some of my shots made it into the cut (the shots of Chuck building the microlight in his garage).

As It Happens

A Travel Diary

I just found this incredible video on Vimeo called ‘As it Happens’ which is about two friends who go adventuring to Nepal and transmit their journey over the internet as they go. Its extremely inspiring to see what they accomplished and to feel like your going along the journey with them. I could really relate to this story as in 2008-2009 I traveled to Nepal for 6 weeks where I had the most amazing time exploring Kathmandu and the Himalayas. It was a journey that really opened my eyes to travel and I hope to do lots more in the future. Here is the video ‘As it Happens’:

A behind the scenes look of how it was made:

Here are some photos from our adventures to Nepal thanks to Emily Martin:

Logan and Carter Shredding in their back yard

I went down to my mates place a couple of days ago and took a few photos of his brother (Logan, 13) and his friend (Carter, 14) on their bikes flying over their backyard motor cross course! These guys have heaps of potential so keep an eye out, you never know they might be competing in the Red Bull X fighters in a couple of years!

Look at that height, epic

Wheeling over the jump

Boom, mad skills

WOW, flying over the house

Nearly over the tree
